Exterior Rendering of Studio Completed

The exterior application of the 'color' coat of stucco on the studio has been completed.  It was applied over the first stucco coat (aka, scratch or brown).

The color was obtained by combining LaHabra dry concrete color pigment consisting of 2-parts adobe color, 1-part buff color and 1/2-part French vanilla color.

The reason for mixing the different pigment colors was because those colors were already on hand, and I wanted to use what I had, rather than spend additional money on one specific color of which I had limited quantity.

The studio is really looking good and although there is much interior finishing on the horizon, including floors, the major work on the structure is complete.

However, before the interior work begins, the next step is getting an excavator to remove approximately 1-foot of soil buildup that has washed down the north-side slope over the years; constructing a knee high retaining wall, and then lay a flagstone patio/walkway area between the studio and the retaining wall with proper drainage.  Once that is accomplished, the building will be safe from water intrusion through the main and utility doors on the north side.
